Both the U.K. and the EU made drastic changes in 2021 instilling protectionism by limiting international trade. Please review the information below before ordering:

European Union Countries:  We can ship to EU countries but note that we do not collect EU VAT taxes as mandated nor do we trade in Euros.  Customers should be aware that most EU countries will demand import taxes, VAT taxes, and additional (brokerage) fees before releasing the book to you.  These added taxes and fees can be substantial!   We are not responsible for fees and taxes imposed by EU governments.  As an alternative our books are available in Europe from Ulrich Sander with U.S. BOOKS in Herne, Germany. United Kingdom: The British government has restricted our ability to ship to the U.K. by demanding that we trade in British Pounds, have a U.K. tax ID number, collect U.K. taxes, and pay these to the Crown quarterly in Pounds.  We can not comply with any of the demands as the U.S. no longer trades in British currency since 1776.  These efforts are geared to limit our sales and your freedom to buy what you like.  We can no longer ship a parcels to the U.K. without a valid U.K. Tax ID number.

Canada:  We ship Canadian orders via Fed Ex Ground, it is faster, gentler on the books, and more cost effective.  

We do not collect foreign (import) taxes, and are not responsible for any import taxes and / or fees imposed by the Canadian government. Our books are made in the USA and are so marked on the customs forms. We are not responsible if Nafta agreements are ignored.  Canadian customers can contact us if they prefer to ship their order by mail, it is usually slower and more expensive, but it is an option.

Shipping and taxes: 

International shipping has become very expense.  We are not in the business to profit from shipping, in fact we lose on many transactions due to the many price structures set up by the post office.  Rates vary extensively from country to country.

The cost of shipping one book is often cost prohibitive for many buyers. The difference in price to ship more (two or three) books is almost insignificant as we can use flat-rate boxes.

Shipping one book: $84.95

Shipping two, or three books: $94.95 (inquire first when ordering multiple books)

We recommend that collectors outside of the United States bundle their purchases with friends and other collectors.  If you are interested in multiple books, feel free to email us first and we can recommend the best option. Please check your spam and junk folders if you do not see a reply within 48 hours. 

 

All our shipments are well protected and packaged to withstand rough transit conditions.  We package all books in plastic, just in case the box gets wet.   We package in such a way to protect the corners and entire content.

We do not collect any foreign (import) taxes, and are not responsible for any import taxes and / or fees imposed by foreign governments.  This matter is between the buyer and their government.
